Update
My grandmother died yesterday. I am just so thankful I was able to say goodbye to her last week in person and tell her I loved her. She told me that she loved me too and that I looked great. She always tried to instill self confidence in me as I was very akward and insecure growing up. I always admired her as she was so vivacious, gregarious, and charasmatic. She had the unique quality to light up a room. Everyone wanted to be her friend and she never said anything mean about anyone. When I was upset over some inadequacy I perceived I had, she told me that there was no reason to keep up with the Jones. Just be a Jones.

we survived
My little boys are growing up. My mother, the twins, and I survived the journey to Phoenix from SD and back.
My grandmother (Ma) is not well and doesn't have much time left and my grandpa is almost 87, so we needed to have the boys see them again. Last time they made the trip the boys were under a year old and it was horrible. TJ and I drove them in the middle of the night out there hoping they would sleep and they cried practically the whole way. Then, at my grandparents, they were so tired they cried the whole time there as well. We swore off driving with them. Since we also swore off plane rides, I decided to drive this time. I figured that the boys would only annoy my mother and me in the truck and not the whole entire plane and risk getting kicked off.
We had a secret weapon this time: a borrowed DVD player with 2 headphones (thanks Sarah!). They just enjoyed their shows as we drove through the desert. What impressed me most though was that the boys were so wonderful during the visit. They loved playing ball with their great grandpa. I had not seen that man move so much as he did fielding their ball throws outside. He seemed to just light up around them and genuinely enjoyed their visit. They were not even afraid of their great grandmother who was in a hospital bed and looked so frail. They just sat with her and watched some shows together. They were so sweet that they even covered her up with their blankets and gave her their stuffed animals to keep her company. I was so proud of them.

TGIF
Another fantastic morning that started at 5:00 am. AJ woke up and started screaming for Daddy (LOL). Naturally, TJ didn't move so I went to go get him. He had peed through his pull up and wet his bed. We talked briefly about holding it in and then we might get to wear underwear all night. Apparently, "it just keeps coming out". What can you do... I stripped him out of his wet clothes and then he decides to wake up his brother by kissing him. It is going to be a great day.

Mornings
Morning time. Always a struggle for the boys. These guys hate to get out of bed and hate getting dressed even more. Even when you show them their favorite shirts and underwear as motivation. They still want to "lie down because it is comfy". I don't blame them.
Today will be a warm one so I picked out shorts and a t-shirt (dinosaurs- their fav). P told me that he does not like his shorts and broke down. After pleading to use his words to tell me why, he told me he wants to wear jeans and didn't care that it would be hot out.
"Jeans start with J. J is for Jette and Jaguars. I love jeans."
Can't argue with that logic. I hope he doesn't get too hot today.
